Due to the belonging of Algeria and Algerians to the Arab and Muslim worlds, and their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause which they consider to be a fundamental issue, the National Archives Center organized in this framework, in October 2017, an exhibition on the Balfour Declaration, which is an open letter signed by Arthur James Balfour on November 2, 1917, in which the United Kingdom declared the establishment of a national country for Jews in Palestine… it is a promise by which they gave what they do not own to those who do not deserve it. The exhibition also highlighted the positions of Algerians regarding this ill-fated declaration despite the impact of occupation and colonialism back then.
